I can remember sitting on the floor in the gym at Lourdes school as Mr. O'Kane gave us the Fire & Safety Speech - I looked over to see Mrs. O'Kane smiling up at him so proud. I am sure you are all proud to have had this true gentleman touch all of your lives.

I was saddened to hear of your dad's death. I have great memories of him always being there for my mom, sister and I. Your dad helped my mom find me a puppy after my dad passed away when I was six and I remember him bringing me the puppy like it was yesterday. He always took the time to check in with my mom to make sure all was ok. Seldom did I see him without a smile or taking the time to chat. To all of you, I offer sincere condolonces from myself and my sister Marilyn. May all the great memories of a wonderful and caring dad help in the days ahead.

Over the holidays we had spoken of your dad! When we first moved to Pembroke in 1982 we rented from your mom and dad on Wilbert St. When our daughter was born at Christmas in 1984 we got lots of snow - and your dad made sure the driveway was shoveled every night when the 'new' dad got home. I have wonderful memories of 'Arnold' . . . he and John Charbonneau did renovations at our house, and he was there for Mom and I when we had an unfortunate fire in our home . . he came as a friend!! May the wonderful memories that you have as a family, sustain you in the days to come.
